Envirobac -  the friendlier carpet backing

This lightweight carpet backing, using raw materials, is softer and more stable than traditional secondary backings, making it much stronger, cheaper and easier to transport and fit.

The backing no longer uses latex, rather polymer granules, making it free from harmful emmissions, as well as allowing for end-of-life energy reclamation options, rather than simply adding it to landfill.   In addition, the waste produced during the manufacturing process is also recycled wherever possible, further reducing the impact on the environment.

All of the carpets below are also manufactured in Britain, with the majority using 100% undyed British wool.  Naturally sustainable, hypoallergenic, fire and water resistant.  Wool's thermal properties will also help when it comes to reducing heating costs.  It's natural structure consists of a membrane which allows for the absorbtion and storage of harmful chemicals, such as VOCs in the atmosphere, producing a cleaner more comfortable living environment.
